Background Story
Walnut Oil, also known as Royal Walnut or Persian Walnut Oil, comes from Juglans regia, a tree whose name means both 'royal' and 'godlike'. The walnut tree has been valued for thousands of years throughout Europe and Asia, not only for its nutritious nuts but also for its therapeutic leaves and oil.
The tree can grow to approximately 30 metres in height and produces green globe-like fruits containing the prized walnut kernel. Around 50% of the nut is oil, making it a valuable source of nourishment and essential fatty acids.
Traditionally, walnut leaves were used for skin and digestive complaints due to their natural astringent properties. Today, Walnut Oil continues to be appreciated for its conditioning, balancing, and skin-supportive qualities.
