What is PURE and COMPLETE?

These terms come from the countries where the oils are usually grown. The oils are produced in the normal distillation process yet companies specialising in natural oils buy parcels of unadulterated oils. These companies try to ensure the purity of the essences at the source and through chemical analysis. Many of these oils go through the same trade channels as the regular industrial essences. As the market for pure and natural oils becomes stronger; buyers are willing to pay appropriate prices for higher qualities. Higher quality oils then become available through the normal trade channels.

What is a Genuine Authentic Oil?

There seems to be an ultimate environment for every plant. Essential oils originating in one area are often preferred over others.  Sometimes there is no clear criteria to distinguish if an oil is more desirable because of growing in its country of origin or because it is produced according to the principles of genuine and authentic essences. It is always best to look for genuine and authentic oils that were grown in their most favourable environment. Genuine and authentic oils should be guaranteed to be distilled slowly and at reduced pressure. Low distillation temperature protects the essences from being over oxidised and fragile molecules from being destroyed by too much heat. All should have certificates of analysis that must be available, upon request, from your supplier.

All Oils should show their common and Latin name and be packaged in blue, dark brown or green bottles to protect them from the sun. Oils are never sold in clear bottles.
