About This Essential Oil

Natural Substitute Rose Essential Oil

True rose essential oil is one of the world's most precious and expensive essential oils, requiring thousands of rose petals to produce a very small amount of oil. To provide a more sustainable and affordable alternative, natural substitute rose essential oil is created using naturally occurring aromatic compounds sourced from other botanical materials.

Through naturally occurring organic chemistry, key fragrance molecules found in rose—such as citronellol, geraniol, nerol, phenethyl alcohol, and linalool—are naturally extracted from plants including citronella, palmarosa, geranium, and other essential oil sources. These naturally derived compounds are then expertly blended to recreate the characteristic floral, sweet, and fresh aroma of true rose.

Although this product is not distilled directly from rose petals, it is made entirely from naturally derived plant ingredients. The result is a high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective natural aromatic blend that closely captures the elegant fragrance of genuine rose essential oil.

Key Benefits

• Provides a rich and luxurious floral aroma
• Popular in premium perfumery formulations
• Complements carefully formulated skincare products
• Creates a soft and comforting aromatic atmosphere
• Adds depth to floral and resinous compositions
• Traditionally associated with love and celebration

History

Roses have held cultural, ceremonial and perfumery importance for thousands of years across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. They have symbolised love, beauty and honour in many traditions. Rose water and fragrant rose preparations have a long history, while concentrated oils, concretes and absolutes developed through different extraction technologies. These products are not interchangeable, and historical use does not substantiate claims that a concentrated rose aromatic treats medical conditions.
