About This Essential Oil

Scotch Pine Essential Oil is steam distilled from Pinus sylvestris, more commonly known as Scots Pine. Its crisp forest aroma is widely used in diffuser blends, natural perfumery, soaps, household fragrance and carefully formulated massage and body products. It adds a clean, outdoors-inspired quality to aromatic compositions without relying on respiratory or immune-treatment claims.

Key Benefits

• Provides a strong, fresh and resinous forest aroma
• Creates an invigorating aromatic atmosphere
• Popular in woodland-inspired diffuser blends
• Complements carefully formulated massage products
• Adds freshness to soaps and household fragrance
• Blends readily with citrus, herbaceous and woody oils

History

Scots Pine is native across a broad range extending from Western Europe to eastern Siberia and has long been valued for timber, resin and aromatic needles. Pine materials have featured in European household, bathing and fragrance preparations, while needles were sometimes used in bedding and storage. Pinus sylvestris is not native to North America, so customary uses of native North American pines should not be attributed to this species without specific evidence.
