About This Essential Oil
Pine Douglas Essential Oil is steam distilled from Pseudotsuga menziesii, commonly known as Douglas Fir. Despite its product name, Douglas Fir is not a true pine. Its fresh conifer aroma is widely used in diffuser blends, natural perfumery, household fragrance and carefully formulated massage and body products, bringing a clean woodland character to aromatic compositions.

History
Douglas Fir is native to western North America and is one of the region's most important forest trees. Its botanical name honours Scottish botanist David Douglas, who helped introduce it to European cultivation during the nineteenth century. The timber, needles and resin have been valued for practical, aromatic and customary uses. Historical use does not establish that the concentrated essential oil treats infections, respiratory illness or adrenal conditions.
