About This Essential Oil
Coriander Essential Oil is distilled from the ripe seeds of Coriandrum sativum and should not be confused with oil produced from the fresh leaves. History
Coriander has been cultivated for thousands of years across the Mediterranean, Western Asia and North Africa. Seeds have been found at ancient archaeological sites, reflecting their longstanding culinary and aromatic use. Greek and Roman cultures used coriander in foods and flavoured wines, while later European traditions incorporated the seeds into breads, preserves and liqueurs. Today the plant remains an internationally valued spice and fragrance material.
