About This Essential Oil

Camphor Essential Oil has a powerful, fresh and penetrating aroma with cooling, woody undertones. White Camphor is a refined fraction of camphor-tree oil, but 'white' does not mean harmless. Its camphor content requires conservative use and strict attention to batch-specific safety information.

History

Cinnamomum camphora is an East Asian evergreen long used in trade, ceremony, fragrance and household products. Distillation produced camphor-rich oils and crystalline camphor. Commercial fractionation distinguished White Camphor from the more hazardous Brown and Yellow fractions, although White Camphor remains a high-caution material.
