History
Black Pepper is a climbing tropical vine cultivated for its aromatic berries. The berries used to produce black pepper are harvested before fully ripening and darken as they are dried. Pepper has played an important role in food, trade and perfumery for centuries. Only a small proportion of the global pepper harvest is distilled to produce essential oil.
