History
The name Ylang Ylang means 'Flower of Flowers'. Long considered one of the most important oils in perfumery, it was widely used during the Victorian era in perfumes, soaps, detergents, cosmetics, and hair care products. In Java, the flowers were traditionally scattered on the bridal bed of newlyweds, symbolising love, harmony, and fertility.
