History
Scotch Pine has a long history of traditional use. American Indians reportedly used pine preparations to help prevent scurvy, while pine needles were placed into mattresses to help repel lice and fleas. Young macerated shoots were traditionally added to baths to support nervous exhaustion, circulatory concerns, rheumatic conditions, arthritis, and slow-healing wounds.
