History

To the Ancient Greeks, Sweet Marjoram was considered a sacred funeral plant believed to bring peace to the departed. It was dedicated to Aphrodite, the goddess of love and fertility, and used as a symbol of eternal love, often adorning the heads of newly married couples.

The Egyptians also valued Marjoram highly, and it was traditionally believed to promote longevity and vitality. Today, Sweet Marjoram remains one of aromatherapy's most respected oils for relaxation, comfort, and emotional support.
