History
Cinnamon has been used for thousands of years in both Eastern and Western cultures. Traditionally it was valued for digestive complaints, abdominal discomfort, kidney concerns, colds, rheumatism, and women's health. Cinnamon is mentioned in the Bible, was used by the Egyptians in mummification, by the Chinese for digestive and liver support, by the Greeks for its antiseptic and stomachic properties, and by the Romans in love potions and childbirth preparations.
