How to Use
• Add a few drops to a bath or birthing pool.
• Inhale directly from the bottle between contractions.
• Blend with Calendula Oil and massage onto the lower back.
• Apply diluted around the ankles where reflexology points associated with the uterus and ovaries are traditionally located.
• Add a few drops to a diffuser in the birthing room.
• Blend into Rose Hydrosol and lightly mist around the birthing environment as desired.
Background Story
Birth Synergy was originally formulated by Shelley for the birth of her second child, Caitlin, during the 1990s. At the time, Shelley was planning a home birth in Whitianga, New Zealand, where medical facilities were some distance away in Thames. Home births were far less common than they are today, and Shelley wanted a natural aromatic blend that could support her throughout the labour process.
The blend was carefully developed to help create a calm atmosphere, encourage focused breathing, and provide emotional support throughout the intensity of labour. It became an important part of her own birthing experience and contributed to a positive and successful home birth.
Following the birth, other mothers began using the blend and sharing their experiences. Over the years, Birth Synergy has become one of Aromaflex's most treasured speciality formulations, supporting many women as they prepare for one of life's most significant journeys.
